Picture It! Publishing 2001, problem printing files

I have suddenly encountered a problem. When trying to
print files from Picture it! I receive the following
message.

Runtime error. Abnormal programme termination.
ProgrammeC\Program files\Microsoft Picture It!
PhotoPub\pip.exe

Then 'The instruction at Ox16057ea referenced memory at )
x07f00820 The memory could not be read.
Have aliens attacked my PC??? all foreign to me, HELP!
