picture views on cd-rw disk won't stay the same

very frustrated, on my cd-rw disk which I have pictures
on,
the folders will not stay as thumbnails, I switch the
folders to thumbnails view and then when I hit the folder
to look in and get back out again to look it goes back to
tile or detail view. Also, the pictures in the folders
always go back to name view even when I change to modify
view. The folders won't stay the way I want it to
(thumbnails view, arrange icons by modified) Never had
this before, the cd-rw and drive kept these views
before. I can view everything on the cd-rw just fine but
it just won't stay the way I want it. In my pictures
folder it stays the way I want it. Why won't it work on
my cd-rw?
