pixela failure to load

Posted: 12-02-2003, 01:58 AM
I have had pixela software for the sony 717 camera. I
cannot get it to load, it is not the Software problem as it
loads in the retail store.
When i insert the disc into drive e or f it brings up the
install prompt. As soon as you click on that the entire
prompt disspears. i have tried to load it manually thru the
add remove program area. i can get the program to load but
it will not start!
I have deleted every file that is associated with pixela
(even hidden files) and to no avail. What can I do?
email me at whppdhubby@cs.com thanks

From Sony

Follow this procedure if the PIXELA ImageMixerTM software or USB drivers will not
install properly on the computer.

1.. Create a New Folder icon on the computer desktop.
2.. Copy the contents of the PIXELA ImageMixerTM Installation CD to the New Folder
icon.
3.. Restart the computer in Safe Mode.
4.. On the desktop, double-click the New Folder icon.
5.. In the New Folder window, double-click the topmenu.exe or Install.exe icon.
6.. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
7.. Restart the computer.
