"Play All" under "Music Tasks" in WMP 10 will Not initiate my Musi

Hello to all and thanks for the help if you can give any!

When I open a folder which contains my music, as usual there is a small icon
under "Music Tasks" on the left side with a green arrow and it says "Play
all". Well for some reason now, when I click on it to play the music, I see
the infamous hour glass for about one second and then that is it. WMP does
not pop up and play my music, nothing. So I have to highlight the music
manually and then right click, play to get it to work. That is irritating as
it does not play the music in the pre-arranged order. Anyone have any clues
or answers on how to fix this? Cheers!
