Play WAV file on websites

Posted: 11-26-2005, 08:59 PM
Hello all,

I need to figure out how to play WAV files from web pages without having to
load programs such as Windows Media Player...

for example: most dictionaries on the web allow you to hear the word's
pronounciation by clicking the volume icon located right beside it. My
computer normally plays it directly without having to open any media player.
But for some reason after rebooting my system it is never the same. Whenever
I click on the volume icon it would load up it's default media player before
you can hear the pronunciation.

Can anyone help, thanks

Most media players want to be YOUR DEFAULT MEDIA PLAYER and as they are
installed, they take over. You may go under Options and then Under Files and
check off which files you want to be defaulted to that Media Player and then
do the same for the other players, such as Real, Quicktime, Windows Music
Match etc etc etc
