Playlist on web files not appearing

When I play files of the net, that I know have a
playlist, for some reason , the playlist is not
populated. Anybody else experince this? I didn't have
this problem until I did a clean install instead of an
upgrade install of Win XP.

I would really like to have the playlist appear for web
content. Anybody with an answer is greately appricated.
BTW the version I have is 9.00.00.3075. All of the XP
platches (as of today ) are installed.
