Please help me troubleshot: No user interface resource are available....

Posted: 12-16-2005, 07:15 AM
Thank you for coming in,

My trouble is:
I installed "Chinese langauge support", but there is no an option "Enable
multilanguage user interface for this component" for checking.

However, the "English language support" has the option, but it is gray.

If I simply choose "chinese language support", the "Regional and language
options" cannot enable me to choose "Uesr interface language"....

Would you please point out where the problem is? I downloaded the language
pack for chinese from MS website and my XPE is with SP1.

Thanks for any hint and suggestion!

Dear Deniel,

You must install MUI packs to enable related language UI.

Thanks, Bing Chen,

I installed the MUI packs already. But nothing changed. Although that option
is checked on the "Advanced" page and all chinese related items are all
included in it, the "regional ...." is still gray. :-(

By the way, if I want my xpe boot very quickly and without any logo of
Windows. (such as logon), are there any good ideas? or can you suggest me
some valuable webpages?

Thanks again.

Dear Daniel,

For the MUI part:

1. Do you refresh your component and re-add "Chinese Language Support" ?

2. Try to install the SP1 MUI packs first and then install SP2 MUI
packs.

The problem was resolved

The reason is that I installed and uninstalled several times. and then
something went wrong.

Finally, I uninstalled the whole database, and installed them one by one,
then it is correct now.

Thanks!
