Re: PLEASE HELP new to xp - GAMES WONT WORK!!!!!!!!!

Would you forward two documents that will allow us to know a bit more
about what is going on? It will also help you understand as well.
First, a new computer will likely NOT have the latest files and fixes
for games, hardware or software. They are manufactured with what is
available at the date they are manufactured. They could sit on the shelf or
in the box for sometime before they are sold. During that time, many
problems are resolved or changes made. The vendors are not going to spend
the time updating when we the customers want it different anyway.
So, one should always visit the manufactuers site after purchase, update
their machine. Visit Windows Update, update the files for the Operating
system. Visit their individual hardware componant sites for the latest
drivers.
The documents we would like are made by your computer. First, we would
like a copy of you DirectX.log file. You can find this with the search tool
on your desktop.
Second, we would like a copy of you dxdiag information. This is from
start > run > dxdiag > run tests at tabs > save and post here.
Thanks for your post! It will help others!
