Is there a tried and true way to play MP3 files on a CD through a car
stereo? 2002 Buick with standard radio, tape and CD player.

Open Nero Express, and choose "Create an audio CD". The MP3 files will be
converted "on the fly".

Yes, you have to buy a player for you car that will play them.
