Group,

How do I get my Dell Axim x50 to work? It does not like ActiveSync.

Thanks,

ActiveSync is not used. Just connect the device and the necessary drivers
will be installed and the Sync Center started.

Windows Mobile 2003 devices can only sync through Exchange, not to the
desktop.
Windows Mobile 2005 devices can sync through Exchange and to the desktop.
This is a current limitation of the Sync Center.

Dominic,

Thanks for the reply. It is a 2003 Device and Device Manager sees it, but
Sync Manager does not. How do I get it to sync with Outlook 2003?

Thanks,

Ray

Unless you are using Microsoft Exchange you cannot sync Outlook with a WM
2003 device yet.
You will see an "Outlook has not been configured" message.

We have to wait until Sync Manager is updated to allow desktop
synchronisation.
