pop ups

could anyone please advise me how to get rid of the constant pop up that hit
my screen,

i am trying to look at some pictures on a web page but even though i have
turned off the pop up blocker i am getting a red x where the picture should be

I think it is a matter of the flash lacking. Adobe is the most popular right
now. Some of those hidden pictures may be in fact short movies or movie-like
files.

The picture itself may not be on the server, or not on there correctly. The
red X is a placeholder for a picture that should be there (it is there in
the code), but the picture file isn't there. It doesn't have anything to do
with the popup blocker, though.
