i can not open an atachement in PPS. what to do ?

pps are Power Point slide show files.
You can open them with Power Point or download a free viewer from Microsoft
here:

Don`t know if this is the right forum for my question.
In almost every PPS I receive , there are a couple of images with only one
color(red).
What can be the reason ?.
O.S :Windows XP with all the latest updates. Outlook express.
