| I downloaded pre-RC1 build using the Akamai download manager to the Documents folder in Vista beta2 (5384). Now I can't find it. Well, actually it showed up in the Documents when I tried to re-download it (again using D/L Manager). And my hard drive has 2.5gb less than it did so I know its there... but where? I tried everything I now to find the file: searching, going through Temp folders, unhiding everything. Can anyone help me?!!?? | Guest

| If you can find it thru another download, at the time you are asked to save it (right up front), right click on the item in the panel and drag it to your desktop and either move or copy there. | I have the same problem- it shows up when using the dwnld manager but not when you use explorer. I did a lot of searches--none find the download. I tried showing hidden files--no go. Anyone know what this is? By the way--it clearly says it is downloading into user documents, so i would question looking elsewhere. When trying a second download, the manager asks if you want to overwrite the existing file. What is going on here? "A*" wrote: Quote:

| Have you had any luck find the file yet? Please people, we need help. I'm now willing to just give up and wait for RC1 to come on a disk, but wait, I can't delete the file because I can't find it... *sigh* <DIV>"H Morris" <HMorris@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:17E39726-060B-40A4-898E-E28D0ACE1CD1@microsoft.com...</DIV>>I have exactly the same prob--cannot find file after 2 downloads--dwnld Quote:

| Have you bothered to try the advise above. It worked for me. You obviously find it during the download process, just work with it. "A*" <ashift8@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:A08FCDC2-F169-41ED-A53A-9A1D53263177@microsoft.com... Quote:
