Preloaded Pioneer DVD-RW-104 "disabled"

I have spent hours trying to figure out how to "enable"
the subject device. All attempts have failed and XP
tells me it was uable to enable the device. Obviously I
have done something to mess this thing up because I have
been using the device for over a hear. Thanks
