| Hi, Under XP & Vista beta I can print using my printer connected to my network with D-Link print server. But when I install RC1 I can't get it to work. I can see the print server listed in network, but when I ask it to explore I get a network error: Error code: 0x80070035 - The network path was not found, when I ask for diagnose it says that a firewall must be between but it works under XP & vista beta(btw not windows firewall it says). someone knows whats happend since beta. | Thanks for the response. To fill in the background, I have a network of 6 desktops and a laptop. Three run on XPHome, 2 on XPPro, 1 on Win2000. The laptop, which ran on XPHome, I gave to my wife and replaced it with a new one running on Vista Home Premium. For the majority of my printing I have an HP Laserjet 4M on a Netgear ethernet print server. This has worked without problems for many years. Vista, although it recognizes the printer and server in the network, will not connect to it. Netgear states they have no print servers compatible with Vista at this time. Contacts with other manufacturers yielded nothing definitive. "Try it and if it doesn't work, bring it back" was the prevalent theme. I would like to retain the LaserJet/Server combination. I recently purchased a Brother MFC with wireless networking, basically for the wife and its remote location capability. This incorporated easily into the network and has worked flawlessly with all three operating systems. Any help would be appreciated. "Steve Urbach" wrote: Quote:

Servers, Their Network Storage Devise (SC101). They are Lax in driver support for the latter, Now you say they are doing the same with their "print Server". I think Netgear lost me as a customer (and *all* the recommendations I made (probably resulted in over 100 devices purchased) Look for a external Jet Direct box (not as cheap as what you have) that looks like a "Standard" TCP/IP device like the Brother does.
