Print Spooler issues are Upgrade

I just upgraded my Dell Latitude D620 from WinXPSP2 to Vista Business. I did
NOT delete my printers before the upgrade.

Each time that I print to my Dell 1700N (network printer) the Print Spooler
services stops after printing the job. If I try to delete or change
preferences, the service stops again. Basically, anytime I touch the printer
the service stops.

I guess I need to manually, completely uninstall the printer. Can anyone
tell me how to do that or perhaps make some other suggestions? It does not
appear that Dell has a new Vista driver out (that I can find).
