Print Spooler Not Running

net start spooler did not work for mine but I ran msconfig and under the
services tab was an empty box for LexBce Server. I put a check in the box
and now everything is fine.

why would this happen. and how can I fix it, I have tried
reinstalling the printer but i keep getting (sub spooler
app) errors, I think that is what it said.

I kept getting the message 'print spooler services not running' - I looked at the problems others had and went to the command promt and typed 'net start spooler' - it advised that it was done successfully - I still continued to get the error - I went to admin tools but I have am not smart enough to know where the properties for the printer spools are - if it is suppose to be an icon there, it isn't - if it is and I need to re-install or something please tell me how

The Print Spooler Service can be found by clicking the Services icon under
Administrative Tools in the Control Panel.

I recently updated Norton software. Since then cannot
print. Cannot open Printer properties, and dialog
says "Print Spooler not Working"; however on checking in
Applications, it says the spooler is working. Any ideas?

XP Home or Pro?
Which version of Norton... and which software... Norton makes many different
products?
