Printer Properties not displaying

After upgrading from Windows 98 second edition to Windows
XP Professional, printer properties will not display for
any printer, even one installed after the upgrade. I
have tried replacing printui.dll in the windows system
folder with no change in the problem. The computer is
connected to a Novell network and did not have this
problem before the upgrade. Any help is appreciated.
