Printer Sharing and Access Permission

Posted: 12-05-2006, 04:13 PM
Hi:
Upon performing 'Printer Sharing,' I got the following 'error' message.

----------------------------------------
My Network Places:
>>> Mshome is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this
network resources. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if
you have access permissions.

The list of servers for this workgroup is not currently available.
-----------------------------
ok
--------------------------

What do I need to fix this problem?

There are three computers, 2 PCs and Notebook and I never added anyone'
name.

What is 'administrator permission,' because all three are under my name.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Basics first... how are they connected to each other... via a router? Are
they all in the same Workgroup? Are they all running the same operating
system?

Whether wired or wireless, you need to work your way through:

Hi:
My ISP is high-speed Intenet Service and wireless.

There is Gateway and linsky which connected to the back of each computer,
except the Notebook which has 'wireless' installed.

The issue which I have now is that there is NO Peer-to-Peer networking
connection. For this, I just can not get how this happened, because the
PCs,
all are made by the HP and I paid a fairly amount of money.

I did 'live-chat' with HP tech.,however he told me that there is
no Peer-to-Peer connection after an 'on-site-test.' Hence,
no 'Printer-Sharing' capable.

Is there a way for me to perform 'Peer-to-Peer' networking connection?
Because, without this, there is NO way 'Printer Sharting.'

Thanks again,

Walk your way through Ron Pacciano's article at:
http://www.practicallynetworked.com/qa/qa20030619.shtml

Remember that all PCs must be in the same Workgroup.... and something
(usually the hard drive) must be shared on all PCs. You can also use the
Networking Wizard....
