Printer woes.

Posted: 10-21-2008, 02:16 AM

Starting Sunday I started getting these two messages while trying t
print: from Acrobat 9 "Unable to start print job. Is printer available?
and from Firefox "Printer Error. An unknown error occurred whil
printing." I thought it was my printer giving up the ghost so I bought
new one today and yes it is installed and recognized by Vista, etc

From Event Viewer
The print spooler failed to verify printer driver package HP Photosmar
C4200 series for environment Windows NT x86. Win32 system error code
(0x2). This can occur after an operating system upgrade or because o
data loss on the hard drive. The print spooler will try to regenerat
the driver information from the driver store, which is where drivers ar
saved before they are installed. No user action is required

Try going to ctrl panel>printer and verify that the exact printer icon is
selected and is configure properly or else you might need to reinstall the
printer driver again
