Printing frpm Publisher problems deleting print jobs

I have a friend who is using Publisher to print
catalogues . She started a job and it came up with a
printer error and subsequently did not print. The problem
is the print job is still in the print queue and will not
delete. The system is a P3-1ghz, 512mb memory, Plenty of
free HD space and an HP 5550 printer.
