Printing to Brother MFC420CN from WXP and OF PRO2002spack2

I recently bought this new printer and it worked at first then began erroring
out after printing only a few lines of the job - been throught trouble
shooting with brother and prints from wordpad no prob so Brother says not the
printer or drivers - I get the following error in the log - "homeoffice error
win32 error 6(0x6) . Ithen loaded on alternate Laptop and all works great-
Back to desktop

Tried to reload printer sftwr and get stopped at paperport - will not config
the usbport so will not let me load multi function center sftw and it will
not print - Have deleted all print drivers where I see in the sever window
under printers that the usb port is not assigned to a printer but awaitng one
- tried to reload - same error

Talked to DELL and they want to reimage and then I am screwed and have to
reload all apps and hopefully have saved all my files properly to external
and can relaod from there - sounds like the easy way out -

ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS???????
