| Hi all, Until recently i had 1 desktop and 1 laptop running xp and connected to the internet via a router(experiabox kpn holland). This was working fine. I change my desktop for a laptop with vista ultimate. Internet connections are working fine(wireless). And i tried to install the printer which is still connected on the router usb port. XP machine is still printing correctly, but with vista is does not want to give in. If i open my network in vista both laptops are there and the router is also there. Exploring them seperatly(laptops and router) i can add printers on each of them. This will work for the laptops but for the router i'm not autherized vista claims. Is there a way around this, or am i trying the install a network printer in the wrong area, if so please correct me by telling where to do this. If i perform this in the way i did with xp the printer will not respond alltough output is waiting in the spool to be transferred, i have to cancel print command. As far as i can tell it is 100% the same as what i did in xp. Many thanks in advance for any response | Guest
