| Hi, I wanted to change to FP 2007. When I call dcomcnfg.exe and select component services the program will be ended. The same configuration without FP 2007 will work properly on the same hardware. The original image contains the needed hardware macros some software macros and components which need settings. Knows anyone what components are absolutely needed for working component services. | Guest

| Reiner, There is lots of ways how to debug the issue. For instance: - use new MS tool - ImageDif. Compare your image before you upgraded to FP2007 and after (assuming you didn't add any extra components there). Here is a bit more info about the tool: http://blogs.msdn.com/mikehall/archi...ble_2E00_.aspx - use FileMon/Regmon tools from sysinternals.com (MS now). In the monitoring logs you may be able to see missing parts. Easy to compare the logs with working image. - use DependencyWalker tool (Profiling feature) to see if you are missing any dynamic dependency of the app or com/dcom stack. -- ========= Regards, KM Quote:
