problem in using floppy disc controller device

sir,
floppy disc controller device's hardware is installed in
my computer but the problem is that there doesn't exist
any folder named '3.5 floppy'in 'my computer'.what should
i do?i have looked in the help and support of windows xp
but can't be able to create the folder.during this
process i also went in device manager and 'updated'
the 'driver',but still i am not able to create the folder
for 3.5 floppy.
sir, please reply me as i have wasted 4-5 hours in the
process.
