 PROBLEM: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM - SHUT DOWN 10 August 2003 Dear Sirs, Problem is encountered when running Windows XP Home edition (original). For the first time and while connected to Singtel (my local service provider) on a dial-up basis, an error message appears after 2 mins - "This shutdown was initiated by NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM. Time before shutdown:00:00:59 windows must now restart because the remote procedure call (RPC) service terminated unexpectedly. Failure in the Remote Procedure Call" (RPC) forces the computer to shut down within 1 minute and restart. Is this a failure of the Windows XP?
