Problem Reports and Solutions

Posted: 07-08-2006, 06:57 AM
I was wondering if anyone knows how to get the "Problem Reports and
Solutions" to work if it's not? It was working OK and I ran a Optimize
program and I guess it shut it off. Now when I open it none of the options in
the left colume work. They are all faded and don't let you click on them.
Like "Check for Solutions". Any help would be gratful. Thanks, Randy

Which Optimize program was that? I wasn't aware of any that was compatible
with Vista yet?

The program is another beta but it works good. Just start as an admin. and
click on the options to make your chooses. A screen will come up where you
have many options including Optimize. After it runs look at the issues it
finds carefully and uncheck any you don't want the program to optimize for
you. I learned the hard way. Once you get it tweeked the way you want it,
it's a really good program. Oh yea I guess you need the name or link :
www.iobit.com and the program name is ; Advanced WindowsCare V2 . I hope
it's what you need. Randy

Eliza,

In most cases it means one of two things. It doesn't apply to your
system because your system does not have the same or similar
software/hardware configurations as those who suffer the most from the
problem or it doesn't apply to your system because it is already installed.
Have you checked your installed updates to see if KB938979 is already
installed? Also, sometimes Microsoft incorporates an existing update or fix
into a subsequent update, thus eliminating the need of the previous update
or fix.
