Problem with Error Checking disk

Posted: 07-23-2004, 05:13 PM
When I try to run the "Error Check" for my c drive on my
laptop, it tells me that

"The disk check could not be performed because the disk
check utility needs exclusive access to some Windows files
on the disk. Thes files can be accessed only by
restartign Windows. Do you want to schedule this disk
check to occur the next time you restart the computer?"

I click yes and it goes away, but when I reboot, it never
does the disk check. I'm running in Administrator mode
too. No one else is logged on.

Any suggestions? thank you.

do you have zonealarm 5.0 installed because version 5 of
zonealarm has been known to cause this problem.
