Problem with spoolsv.exe

I found this post on this newsgroup:

I am running Windows XP Pro and recently changed my HP
Laserjet 2200 from a parallel connection to a USB
connection. All print operations work fine except that
after a document completes printing, it remains in the
Print Q. So, Windows reprints the document the next time
the printer is started or Windows is restarted (or system
is booted.)

I have reviewed all settings in the Printer Properties
section and the box marked Keep Printed Documents is Not
checked. I have reset this box with the Apply several
times to an unmarked box. I have the Windows XP InsideOut
book and can't find an answer.

But, the documents are still not deleted. Is there a
problem in the registry or something else. Any assistence
is appreciated. Thanks all.

Michael

I am experiencing the same problem. My printer is HP 5L,
connected to parallel port. It's not a network printer.
Any ideas?
