Problems deleting printer jobs

Posted: 09-27-2003, 06:00 AM
Sometimes I need to cancel jobs sent to the printer. If I
select CANCEL ALL DOCUMENTS, all the documents except the
top one ("printing") are deleted. The top document says
"Deleting - Prin" (I assume "Printing") and it says that
for a very long time. I can't get that top document either
to print or go away. Sometimes it eventually clears, but
this one has survived connecting or disconnecting the
printer (USB), turning the printer off and on again, even
restarting the computer.

I have just added a two-sided printing adapter to my HP
6110xi all-purpose, and this one won't print or clear. I've
put up with this problem, when it would eventually clear,
with this printer without the attachment, with my previous
HP T45 all-purpose, and I think others before from other
manufacturers, and with Windows 98SE as well. Those
previous printers were all run off LPT1, so it doesn't seem
to be a USB problem. I didn't anything about it before
because it didn't happen often enough and could eventually
be cleared. But now I'm broke hard, and need to get a fix
for this.
