problems Installing Printer

Hi,

I've just bought a new PC with windows XP ready installed.
Everything was fine until I tried to install the printer
and I got an error message "RPC Server is unavailable".
After a bit of digging I discovered that the print spooler
wasn't running, starting this manually allowed me to
install the printer and print documents. However, when I
restart the computer, the print spooler is stopped each
time so I have to start it manually if I want to print
anything. I've tried using the dialogue box in "Services"
to start it automatically but this doesn't make any
difference. Any ideas anybody?
