Problems installing TurboCAD software

After installing VPC 7 and upgrading to 7.0.1, I successfully
installed TurboCAD 6.5. However, when I tried to install TurboCAD
version 7.0, I received the following message from the installer:

"Error 1322. A portion of the path exceeds the length allowed by the
system" and the installer then quit.

I then installed the latest version10.0 of TurboCAD, which appeared to
be successful. However, when I tried to open it, I received the
following message

"Error while unpacking the program - code LP6. Please report to
author"
I contacted IMSI, who merely replied that they had not tested the
program on VPC.

Interestingly, the separate Help File and the Read Me file would open.

Has anyone experienced a similar problem or found a solution?

I am experiencing this problem on a dual 2.5 G 5 Mac. TurboCad 8 runs
fine, as does Floor Plan v8. TurboCad 10 gives the error message. I've
reinstalled a few times, lastly by copying the installer CD to my
WindowsXP C:\temp folder and installing from there. I performed a
"typical" installation. No joy, just the error. I'm thinking there
might be a problem with graphics card support for 3D that is not
properly emulated, but that's just a guess. Would appreciate any
solutions or other ideas for solving this. - Joe
