Problems loading XP Pro on IBM R31 Thinkpad

Hi,

I wiped my harddrive using AEFDISK18. I then attempted to load Window
XP Professional from a new CD. It goes to "Setup is starting Windows
screen, and then I get a "Blue" screen. It says:

SESSION3_ INITIALIZATION_ FAILED

Technical Information:

***STOP: 0x0000006F ( 0xC0000020, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

Can somebody please tell me what's the problem?

The machine BIOS is at 3.100 1FETF0WW. I can't get into anything t
upgrade the BIOS.

Thanks,

M

Youre BIOS is available by pressing its keyboard set up key when the pc
starts,if its in a "loop" or similiar, clearing the CMOS should
help..Also,when
loading xp onto a hd,one must delete the partition, create one, then let xp
format & install auto.

Could be a specific driver you need... Possibly a drive controller.

When this error occurs during Setup more often than not it is caused by
a bad CD, smudges, fingerprints or scratches can cause this error.
Clean the CD and try again, even if its new its may have fingerprints or
smudges.
