Have you contacted the manufacturers of the device about this issue? Find
out if they have any beta drivers availabe for Vista or working on it?

In terms of emailing them, no.
Granted, its an older hardware device. I am not too hopeful they'll
go out of their way anytime soon. They may have it AFTER Vista comes
out, but then again, they dont HAVE to.

If the device reaches end of life before Vista or little after Vista ships,
its unlikely they will come out with a driver.
