Programatically Disable the Fax Service

I am using window fax service (XP) along with my other TAPI
applications. At times there is a need to disable the fax service so
that it will not be able to send,receive or detect any calls at all. i
know i can achieve this task using the "Configure Fax" menu item on
the Fax Console. but i just need to do it programatically. So is there
any one who knows any thing in the fax API which will enable me
achieve the task? i have been searched the Fax API( old and new ones)
but to no vail.
Any advice is appreciated.
