| Office 2007 works on Vista. If you install Vista x64 you have to reinstall all your apps, if its Vista x86, you can upgrade from XP SP2 and still preserve apps and personal settings, no guarantee they will survive the upgrade might need to be repair, updated and patched before they can be used. As for the games, check the microsoft.public.windows.vista.games group for more information. -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta "hynesy_dave" <hynesydave@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:7A37397C-1A9B-4820-9A4D-BE3EB282E3F5@microsoft.com... supported. You will have to install all your apps again, some will be OK, some will not install, some will crash the machine. Its a beta test not a finished ready to go operating system, best way to use it is on a test PC and try things out on it in isolation. Do not overwrite your existing OS with it otherwise you will be reformatting and reinstalling XP within days having lost all your data. Jonah | Guest

| Do yourself a favor and if you have a spare hard drive, install Vista on it and not on your main drive. And keep your data drive disconnected from the system while you run Vista. Don't forget Windows Vista Beta 2 is a BETA, that means that it can( and probably will at some point) cause problems. Install your other programs that you want to try out. But, don't expect them all to run properly. And most times, it is not recommended to install another Beta product , like Office 07 on top of another Beta product. If there are problems, it is harder to pinpoint where they originate when you run a beta application in a Beta OS. I just removed one of my side panels on my case (with the power off) and disconnected my main hard drive and the secondary drive ( power and cabling) and connected my spare drive to the cable (as the main drive) and the power cable. And then, booted up and put the DVD in and installed. Everything went fine and it took about an hour to fully install on a 3.0Ghz P4, including setting up IE7 and Microsoft Mail. Not bad for a beta install at all. james aka:Trucker "hynesy_dave" wrote: Quote:
