Properties window in vista locks up when you click on the sharing

I can not figure this out for the life of me. Eveytime I'm in the properties
window and i click on the sharing tab the properties window locks up. It
does not hold up the rest of the computer only that window. It never fails.
Im sure there is a fix i just dont know where to look for it or what to do.
Please advise.

It is windows vista home premium.
