Not for your life with XPhome. It just won't join a domain. you need XPpro
for that. With workgroup name set the same as domain name, it can use the
resources on the domain, though. But logon name and password has to be the
same as they would log onto doamin...

I keep having a message pop up saying p2 networking.
Cannot start server!
I don't understand what this means or how to get rid of
it. I am connected via cable modem but this pops up
every minute or so.
Any ideas?

Yes. But it may open your remote network to the Internet through your
computer.

Check for a setting in your vpn client for use remote gateway and uncheck
it.

Many corps that provide VPN prohibit this, so you might check into it.
