Radeon 9800 Pro - Resolution settings not retained!!!!

I have just installed a new ATI Radeon 9800 Pro video card with Catalyst 3.9
drivers. Everything works fine except that eveytime I reboot or restart the
PC the resolution defaults to 800 x 600 and so I have to change it back to
1024 x 768.

Can anyone please suggest what I can do to get the system to retain my
prefered resolution?
