Random CPU Usage Spikes

While looking at the performance monitor program with windows, and watching that I have noticed a windows process with the name wdrun32.exe is causeing major cpu usage spikes on my computer ranging from 60 to even 100 % cpu usage about every 3 seconds. This is causing difficulty running movies, and games. Any help?
