RC2 back to RC1?

Posted: 10-16-2006, 03:24 PM
I'm so fed up with Photoshop CS2 not working with Aero on RC2, that I want to
go back to RC1 where it worked perfectly. Can this be done as an 'upgrade'?
BTW, why are all the RC2 links down now? Does MS think RC1 is 'better'?

The public download of 5744 was up for 100,000 downloads. It only took 72
hours to reach that number, then the public download was closed. 5744 is
still posted on MS Servers for the Tech Beta, MSDN, and TechNet Plus. Going
from 5744 to 5600 is a downgrade which you can not do. You would have to
install 5600 as a clean install.

Why Microsoft needs to have two classes of testers?
I think, the policy is to plant confusion.

It has always been this way. Most people have never heard of and have no
idea what Connect, MSDN, or TechNet is.

What 2 classes are you referring?
The people in the Technical Beta are testing for Microsoft and are expected
to give feedback.

Most likely you are participating in the CPP program.
As a CPP participant, you are previewing Vista for your own purposes and not
expected to provide feedback to Microsoft.
The CPP participants are not Beta testers although they are using a Beta
product.
