# After the first reboot if you get an error stating file missing or
corrupted "SYM_HI.SYS".
# Reboot your system with the install DVD.
# Select Repair This Installation and click next.
# Now choose "Command Prompt" from the given option.
# In the command prompt it is displayed like this -
"X:/Source>"
# Now type your installation drive letter after the above prompt for me it
was D: drive so i type D: and press enter
# Now the prompt would be changed to "D:/>"
# Now type cd WINDOWS and enter
# Now type cd SYSTEM32 and enter
# Now type cd DRIVERS and enter
# Now type DEL SYM_HI.SYS and enter
# Close the command prompt and restart and carry on with your installation.

this problem appears only on certain pc's for some unknown reason but this
will let vista install .
