RD connects ok, but will not transfer contol

I'm connecting just fine thru MSN and both computers are
running WinXP. But when I click on take control, a
window pops up on his end then goes away very quit before
he can read or click on anything. I can see his desktop
just find... I just can't take control. He DOES have
the box checked for "allow this computer to be controlled
remotely" in Remote Assistance Settings.

HELP!!!! TIA

Sorry, we aren't using Remote Desktop... We are using
Remote Assistance.

On the other users end, have him check the Event Log (right click on
My Computer and Select Manage). See if there are any entries related
to Remote Desktop, Remote Assistance, or Terminal Services. If so,
note what the error is and post back here with more details... It
could be that a resource on his end has crashed, but without further
details, it will be hard to troubleshoot.
