readyboost performance improvement?

so, it reduces disk i/o. that's good news.

so, if we put the same machine through two benchmarks - once with readyboost
and once without, we should see some performance increase. for example, if
we ran a benchmark suite of common apps, we might see a 2% increase in
performance on the benchmark becasue of the reduced disk i/o?

i was just hoping someone had already done this. i haven't benchmarked
anything other than a video card in years. time to brush off the my
benchmarking skills and do a comparison this weekend.

Drives and flash memory products both vary in random I/O speed. But as a
general rule of thumb flash memory is about 10 times faster than a drive at
random I/O.
