really poor framerate on cam when sending to others, please help

Hi all,

I sometimes chat to my cousin in south africa, when shes online we let
eachother see our webcams, hers is fine and shes on dial-up, but mine is
terrible and i'm on 1mbit broadband, it sends like one frame every 20-30
seconds. My webcam works fine in yahoo but the reason for swapping
messengers is we always crash on yahoo. If someone can help me out it would
be great.

I use windows xp pro sp1
have a logitech quickcam, the laptop one
use MSN messenger 6.2
my firewall is norton
I am on LAN on a belkin 4 port router.

I never had any real problems with yahoo and being on an LAN, I don't think
thats the reason.
