rear speakers

No matter what I try I cannot get sound to come out of
the rear speakers. I have tried all the wires, adjusting
the sound controls, nothing. Bit frustrated, any ideas

with so little info to go on, it's hard to tell. what speaker system or
audio card are you running? I assume you're running xp or pro. are you set
for surround or desktop or headphone?
