Default recommendation: disable flashing tasks

I had my task bar for a reason. So it pisses me off when the damn
thing pops up and one of the programs, or a system tray icon, flashes
at me. Blocking the status line of the program I'm using. Which is a
lot more important to ME, the guy using the computer that I PAID for,
than whatever's flashing at me.

I don't god damn care what else is going on! I am in charge of my
system and what I say is what should go. I'm working on one program
and I don't care that any other program thinks it's more important
than what I'm doing. It's not!!

And another related thing that pisses me off. When I'm not using my
broadband connection, I either disconnect the cable or turn the modem
off. The little icon telling me that a network cable is disconnected
shows up. I've set the damn thing to always hide, yet it still pops
up the next time.

LOL. Don't hold you breath on those recommendations coming true. You may be
the only person on the planet who cares about the notifications. And also
the only person on the planet who disconnects your network cable when you're
not using the Internet.
