Default Recorded TV - Media Center vs. Media Player

I finally got Vista up and running, so far I like how it looks. I also got my
Xbox 360 setup as an extender with no problems... it's a bit slow over my
wireless G network.. but it works for music and video which is mainly what
I'll use it for.

Ok, so here is my question. Before installing Windows Vista Beta 2 I did not
have a Media Center PC. I ran Win XP Pro. In Win XP I used Snapstream Beyond
TV to record television. The WMV files it creates appear in Media Player as
recorded television. This holds true with the same files in Vista and MP11,
they are showing up correctly in the Recorded TV section with all of their
episode info. However Media Center does not recognize these files as recorded
TV.

This is very important to me. I have a lot of recordings of shows that I
intend to keep. And it is a nightmare trying to organize these files in the
Video section where there is no additional media info other than the name of
the file.

Does anyone have a comment on this? Perhaps there is someway to get media
center to recognize these files as recorded TV?
