recycle bin query

I was just wondering, is there any special settings you
can adjust for your recycle bin?
Everytime I log out or reboot my PC the contents of the
recycle bin are purged. I want them to actually remain
there for future retrieval if necessary.
Any ideas?

Windows XP doesn't do that...you must have installed third party software
that's doing it.

Manny

Right click the Recycle Bin icon on your desktop, select Properties and see
whether the option it "Do not move files etc" has been checked. It needs to
be unchecked.

Hope this helps.

Yep that is unchecked already.
The files actually do go to the recycle bin but when I
reboot or log off they are gone.

Not sure what it is.
The only thing I've recently installed is ZoneAlarm.

Have you checked the settings in Zone Alarm?
