| New HP with Vista Home Premium. I'm getting a flashing orange button on task bar showing "Registry editor Req..." when I open it to look at I get the following message: If you starteed this action, continue. Residtry Editor. User account control stops unauthorized changes to your computer. When I click on details I get the following: regedit/"c:\programdata\AOL\c_America Online9.0\\avlastkey.reg" Have tried both continue and cancel but it keeps coming back. What is it and how do I get rid of it? Thanks -- gewaldeck | Guest

| Hi gewaldeck, This simply indicates that a software program installation routine needs to write information to the registry. If you use a router, there is actually no need to have any AOL software on your machine at all and use just the standard IE7 interface. This is because the settings for accessing the Internet are stored in your router. Dwarf "gewaldeck" wrote: Quote:
